I thought my life was complete … but then I realised one very important item was missing: a spiralizer.
Until I became the happy owner of said machine I had patiently been cutting courgettes into thin strips but it never really felt like a proper substitute for spaghetti. Now it is so easy to make pasta dishes and courgetti is the perfect low carb addition to the dinner table. The other day we made courgetti bolognese – I’m not going to post a recipe for the sauce as I’m certain we all have our favourite way of making bolognese.
To make the courgetti – once the courgette has been spiralized (one medium courgette per person), tip into a bowl, add a pinch salt and pour boiling water over. Leave for a couple of minutes, drain and serve. Buon appetito!
